Our quest for the latest, greatest music is often a daunting one. 2011 has not been kind to us thus far. But every once in awhile we stumble upon something that we simply must share. Our first great musical find of the year also happens to be a totally free one courtesy of Canadian artist The Weeknd. Reminiscent of early Massive Attack and not a whole lot else, House Of Balloons is a 9-track collection of sad-bastard electro-R&B. It’s free on their website right now, so you really have no reason to pass it up.
